Wonderful Aunt, friend, Mother, sister, daughter, Christian; She knew her husband all their lives, and yes, was born on the same day. There is a picture of them holding hands as toddlers.

After married moved to Memphis Tennessee where they were active in their community and church. Played the piano very well.

She taught school 3 years at Victory School, 1 year at Amoret Missouri system in town. She was a Beauty Operator for 48 years.

She grew up in Amoret/Amsterdam, Missouri area until her marriage and then moved to Memphis Tennessee where she raised her lovely children. She often returned to Missouri to visit her parents and brothers and sisters. She was close to her family and church work.

Born in a farm house 2 1/2 miles north of Amoret (Just south of Amsterdam, Missouri). Baptism (sprinkle) Mulberry United Presbyterian Church and Baptism (Emersed) Feb 2, 1932 at Belleview Baptist Church by Dr. Robert G. Lee.

Her words: "Was reared in the United Presbyterian Church. Made my confession of faith at age 9 in a Delay camp meeting held in Amoret, Missouri. Following Sunday mother took me before the Session and they examined my experience and took me into the church fellowship where I attended until I married at 22 years. After coming to Memphis, TN we found Belleview Baptist more in keeping with our early teachings and joined where I Feb 1932 and have been faithful member there all these many years. Taught in the Junior department 15 years and now supply for an adult senior class - never had time for social affiliations as I worked. We reared three lovely daughters that have taken their place being good Christians, wives and mothers of our 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren of which we are very proud. 5 of our grandchildren have graduated from college and the rest are on their way. The eldest grandson was recently ordained to the Ministry, and one hoping to enter the Seminary soon. All have good singing voices and all so far have used them only to praise the Lord. One of our grand-daughters has a great talent with the violin and is being trained well." Gladeus
