"Harry F. "Hotz" Adams, 79, Rothsville
Harry F. "Hotz" Adams, 79, of 421 Laural Ave., Lititz, formerly of Akron, died Wednesday morning at Lancaster General Hospital of natural causes. He was the husband of Marcella Grace Engle Adams. Born in Rothsville, he was the son of Harry Y. and Amelia S. Fry Adams. He was a member of Akron Church of the Brethren, where he taught adult Sunday school for many years and sang in a men's quartet.
He was a graduate of Rothsville High School and was on the original Akron Borough Planning/Zoning Board. Most recently, he worked as an installer with Quality Custom Kitchens of Leola. Previously, he worked for the former Miller-Hess Co. of Akron and was a part-time farmer.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, R. Vern, husband of Judy of Brownstown, and V. Patrick, husband of Jane of Stevens; three daughters, Vicky, wife of Lloyd S. Witmer, of New Holland, V. Cheryl Lausch of Lititz, and Venessa, wife of Nathan Buckwalter of Lancaster; two stepsons, Edmund, husband of Louise Meiskey, and Neil, husband of Julie Meiskey, both of Lititz; one stepdaughter, Marcia, wife of Lee Klopp of Lititz; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren."
