****Martha was born to Joseph John Loewen (1832-1903) & Eva Margaret Laumeister (1846-1917) Joseph came to Victoria in 1858 and entered into the flour and distillery business with Frank Laumeister.
***Martha was born in 1866 she married Frank Barnard the son of Ellen Stillman & Francis Barnard.
****In 1919 she had the pleasure of entertaining Edward prince of Wales***
