John Newt Alexander father of Mrs. Morgan Fegett, died at his home near Moody last Thursday. He was born in Lawrenceville, GA. He served in the Confederate Army at age 19, then moved to TX in 1870, settling near Moody. On Dec. 23, 1872, he married Mary Elizabeth Patterson and they had 10 children, nine of whom are still living. His wife died in March of 1909, and then he married Mrs. Macie Gribble in 1911. He and Macie had 2 children.
