Otto is the son of Otto and Lyda Johnson Rey Baker Sr. Otto lived for a while in Paw Paw Michigan before moving north to Newaygo. The Baker family having moved to Michigan from Ohio in the early 1900's. Otto married Beverly Buckallew in 1948 in Kalamazoo Co., MI. Together they ran a Bakers Live Bait on E 36th Street Newaygo. Otto was a veteran and served his country in WWII.
