Mrs. Elsie Sheldon Allen of Dallas, Texas, died on December 3, 2009, following a long illness.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1924 in Ward, WV to George Thomas Sheldon and Beatrice Ann McComas Sheldon.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Arthur Dick Allen. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Ron) Sutter, Larry (Cathy) Allen and John (Susan) Allen; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kevin, Jennifer, Steven, and Angie; several great-grandchildren; and brothers, Cecil Sheldon and Booster Sheldon.
Elsie lived near Larry and Cathy Allen of Dallas and the family is forever grateful for the love and care they gave her in the last years of her life.
Funeral services were held on Monday, December 7, at the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Glasgow, WV
