He was the son of Jeremiah W Armstrong (1857-1936) & Anna Graves Armstrong (1841-Unknown); He was a Twin to Merlato Armstrong. There were 9 children that Jeremiah & Anna Graves Armstrong had before she died appx 1875-1879 either in Missouri or Pennsylvania.

He married Gertrude May Daringer Armstrong on Dec. 31, 1904 in Mound City, Linn, Kansas. They had 4 children, one son, Wesley A Armstrong, who was killed in WWII (note: My late father-in-law); three daughters.
