Betty May Mason was the second child of Opal May Smith and Lawrence Ezra Mason. After her mother divorced and remarried, Betty and her brother Bob were adopted by their step father Vane Fort and had their last name changed to Fort.

Betty May "Sid" Davison, 68, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, in Ventura, after a long illness.
Sid was born Feb. 5, 1933, in Bakersfield (note: this is incorrect, it was Maricopa). She grew up in Ojai, Ventura and Cuyama Valley. She attended Nordhoff High School with her future husband, Bill. Mrs. Davison was an artist. She was a very giving and loving person, and will be remembered by all who were able to meet her.
Sid is survived by her husband of 16 years, Bill of Santa Paula; a step daughter, two step sons, 10 grandchildren, mother Opal Flippin of Ventura; brother Robert Fort of San Jose (and others).
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, with the Rev. John Cherrie of Ventura Missionary Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
