Harriet was born to Lewis Allen and Lucy Foster Felts on July 13, 1820. They owned a cotton plantation in Lamar (originally Cabin Creek). He was a Democrat and belonged to the Methodist-Episcopal Church. Harriett died February 26 1903 at Lamar.
