Vonda Cruse, 92, took her final journey on earth and her first steps in heaven on June 8, 2015. She was born July 22, 1922 in Little River, KS, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret Lindholm.

She grew up on a farm near Windom, KS. After graduating from Windom High School and Salt City Business College she worked a short time at Nash-Finch Co. where she met Robert M. Cruse. They were married on November 22, 1946 at Andover Lutheran Church, and spent the next 52 years together until he died in 1998.

She was an Avon lady for many years which fulfilled her passion for visiting with people. She also loved quilting, flower gardening, and cooking for the ones she loved.

Survivors include her 3 children; Michael A. and wife Judy, Oviedo, FL, Terry W. and wife Elynor, Hutchinson, KS and Roxan G. and husband Larry Wharton, Anthony, KS, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all who loved her very much and were very much loved by her.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 12, 2015 at Andover Lutheran Church, 117 Dakota Road, Windom, KS, 67491 with Rev. Elizabeth Liggett presiding. Burial will follow in the Andover Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Andover Lutheran Church in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
