Born to James Quine (1792-1870) and Jane Gawne (1795-1862) in Ashtabula, Ohio. He married Elizabeth Lund in 1873 in Monroe, Michigan. They Had 7 children: Florence, Jennie, Flora, Clarence, Rotha, Cora and Clayton. They lived east of Dutchtown on a farm. The Quine family came from the Isle of Man and settled in Leroy Township Ohio in 1927.

Thomas Quine 94, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at 3:o'clock at
the home of Clarence Quine east of Warsaw. Death was due to the
infirmities of Old age and followed an illness of three weeks. He was
born in Ashtabula, Ohio, but had lived on farms near Warsaw for the
last 50 years.
Surviving are: two sons, Clarence Quine mentioned above and Clayton
Quine of one mile east of Dutchtown; two daughters Mrs James O'Connell
of near Pierceton, and Mrs. Harvey Tenney of Dutchtown; seventeen
grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. His wife died five years ago
and 3 daughters have preceded him in death. Funeral services will be
conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Brethren Church, East
Center Street, Rev E.M. Riddle officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood
Cemetery.
