Bessie Benes
Bessie Benes, 83, of Gonzales, Texas, died Sunday, June 28, 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at St. James Catholic Church in Gonzales with the Rev. Frank Macias officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales.
She is survived by sons William R. Benes of Seguin and Charles Benes of Gonzales; sister Mary Baumann of New Braunfels; and brothers Frank Barta and Alfon Barta, both of Gonzales.
She was preceded in death by her father Frank Barta; mother Aloizie Malatek Barta; and brothers Adolph, Jerry and Frank Barta.
Memorial my be made to the American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association.
Active pallbearers will include David, John, Bill, and Richard Benes, Katie and Krystal Benes.
Arrangements are by Buffington Funeral Home of Gonzales.
