Son of Richard and Elizabeth Machen Mauldin.
Owned land in Franklin county Georgia and was a part of the 1832 Georgia Cherokee land lottery. This county was formed from Cherokee and Creek lands.
By the acts of Dec 21, 1830 and Dec 24, 1831, land was authorized to be surveyed in the Cherokee Nation to be distributed by lottery in 1832.
This land was Cherokee land that contained gold mines during the Georgia Gold Rush days. Lotteries in this area were only 40 acres, other areas that did not contain gold were 160 acres in 1832. This was the last year of the Land Lotteries in Georgia.
Epps Mauldin moved on to Mississippi with the Mauldin family and made Mississippi his home where he died.
Arrived with other Mauldin family members to Tippah county Mississippi in 1845.
