Adah F. Byersdorf was the daughter of Ferdinand Byersdorf and Nancy "Nannie" L. Yarbrough. She was born in Pleasant Hope, Missouri and was one of seven children. Her family moved to Spokane, Washington while Adah was still a little girl.

Adah met and married Edward C. Baird and they had five children together. Their last child was born in Harvard, Idaho where they settled in or about 1930. However, having family ties in both Washington and Idaho, Edward and Adah were always going back and forth between the two states. They were living Spokane, Washington when Edward died in 1962.

Adah lived another 20 years following her husband death. She was a very devoted mother and grandma. We affectionately knew her as "Grandma Baird" visiting her was always one the highlights of our family vacations.

Adah died on October 8, 1982 in Edmonds, Washington at the age of 95. A graveside funeral was held four days later in Lewiston, Idaho and Adah was buried next to her husband.
