Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth "Liz") Bertrand, 77, Green Bay, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at home with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Franken, Feb. 17, 1934, she is the daughter of the late Louis and Evelyn (Kronmiller) Moens. Liz married Robert Bertrand Apr. 16, 1953, in New Franken. She worked at the Press-Gazette part-time for 25 years in the circulation department then one year at a flower shop. Liz's hobby was making silk flower arrangements and babysitting her grandchildren. She always had a vegetable garden and went on many cancer walks.
Liz is survived by her husband, Robert, Green Bay; seven children, daughter, Linda and Phil Lampereur and their children, Steve and Kim; daughter, Sharon and Dave Bjorkman and their son, Brandon; son, Daniel and Jody Bertrand and their children, Sarah and Kaylee; son, Harold and Suzette Bertrand; son, Russell and Diane Bertrand; daughter, Janet Rosio (special friend, O.J.) and her children, Adam, Spencer, and Isaac; daughter, Marilyn and Lee Remington, and their son, Hunter; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Beatrice Moens; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Harvey; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Melvin De Beck; two nieces and two nephews, Angela De Beck and Carol Farrell, and Arnold and Dennis De Beck.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird Street, Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Entombment at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
