Failing to rally after an abdominal operation, Jacob Deikar 49 years old passed away at 12:50 p.m. Saturday at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital. He had been in poor health for the past six years.
He was born on March of 1884 in Russia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Deikar. On January 25, 1910, while in Russia he was married to Annie Deikar in the Zirhig Lutheran church in the Rev. Hirschelman. In 1929 both came to this country direct to Sheboygan and established their home here. For a short time he was employed by the Kohler Co. and then for eight years he worked as a mason-tender. He was proprietor of a tavern located at the corner of N. Thirteenth Street and Michigan avenue. He was a devoted member of the St. Paul Lutheran church and enjoyed the large circle of friends.
He is survived by the widow, one brother David Deikar, Russia, and three nieces the Misses Theresa, Emily and Frieda Deikar of Chicago, and three cousins, Mrs. Fred Fink of Two Rivers, David Seng, Fred Kunz and Mrs. Fred Richter of Sheboygan. His parents two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ballhorn Funeral Temple at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church the Rev. Edward H. Schmidt will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.

Funeral services for Jacob Deikar who passed away Saturday noon at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital were hed at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ballhorn Funeral Temple and at 2 p.m. the St. Paul Lutheran church, the Rev. Edward H. Schmidt officiating. A group of school children sang "Lass Mich Gehen" during the services which were largely attended. Many beautiful flowers were grouped about the coffin.
Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery, the pallbearers being David Kraemer, Alex Dann, Gottlieb Zeller, Adam and David Grafenstein and Carl Geibel.
