Eva May Charboneau, 85, of Kansas City, KS, died Friday, April 26, 2002 at the Colonial Manor in Lansing. Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 29, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102. Burial in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Porter Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Haven Baptist Church. Eva was born June 27, 1916, in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong resident of the city. Working was a way of life for Eva. She and her family owned and operated the Rock House Restaurant in Piper for 23 years, and they farmed in northern MN. She was a charter member of Haven Baptist Church and a volunteer for Cancer Action. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alma L. "Mutt" Charboneau. She is survived by 5 daughters, Margaret Raines and husband Bill, Basehor, KS, Betty Bacon, Los Angeles, CA, Dottie Charboneau and husband, Charles Sulwald, Wanda McMahon and husband John, Vivian Hicks and husband Roy, all of Kansas City, KS. A brother, Raymond Cox Jr., 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Pub. in Kansas City Star.
