BYRON J. ANDERSON
Byron J. Anderson, 54, 507 College, died Wednesday evening in Porter Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 5, 1913, in Morgan Township, he was a son of Heber and Elma (Cannon) Anderson. He married Norma Pullins, who survives.
He was a farmer, served in the army during World War II and was a member of the Kouts Presbyterian Church.
Surviving besides the widow are three step-children and his mother; three brothers, Richard and James of Valparaiso and Nelson of Kouts.
Also, five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rodger and Mrs. Jessie Goodpaster, both of Valparaiso, Mrs. Margie Copenhaven, New Carlisle, Mrs. Geraldine Hagen, Wilmette, Ill., and Mrs. Genevieve Vollentine, Seattle.
Services are pending at Bartholomew Funeral Home.

Services for Byron J. Anderson, 54, of 507 College, who died Wednesday, are being held at 1 p.m. today in Bartholomew Funeral Home.
The Rev. Loren Scribner, Kouts Presbyterian Church, was officiating and burial was to be in Adams Cemetery, Morgan Township, Kouts American Legion Post was to conduct military rites at the cemetery.
A veteran of WWII, Anderson took part in landing in Italy and North Africa.
