|Birth: ||Aug., 1862|
|Death: ||Oct. 16, 1934|
Oldest of the six children (who survived to adulthood) of Joseph & Frances Allard, he spent part of his growing-up years in Story County, Iowa before returning to Warren County with his parents in the early 1870's. He married Nellie Choate on 24 Nov 1892 in Warren County, and they lived in Kirkwood where he was a liveryman first in town and then on a ranch. Their four children, Cecile Mae, Ralph Wesley, Leslie Dean and Dana Leroy were born there; Leslie and Leroy died as very young children. In 1914 they moved to Jefferson county, Iowa, where he farmed until they moved to Fairfield; he sold farm supplies there.
No death years were ever placed on this stone, but the following source shows that they died in Iowa and were buried in Kirkwood:

This same source, which gives information recorded in "The Fairfield Ledger" gives only one child, "Mrs. O. A. Worl" (Cecile married Oakes Aspergren Worl), so son Ralph must have also preceded them in death.
