Baugh, 84, 222 School St., Glen Carbon died at 11:25 a.m. Thursday in the Madison County Nursing Home, where he had been a patient the past year. He was a boiler room engineer at General Steel Castings, Granite City, where he was employed for 30 years, until retiring in 1952. He was a resident of Glen Carbon for the past eight years. Born Nov. 17, 1884, in Dixon, Mo, Mr. Baugh was the son of the late Samuel and Ellen Davis Baugh. He was married to the former Minnie Nelson of Dixon, Mo. on Dec. 6, 1905. She preceded him in death on Nov. 16, 1954. Surviving are two sons, Homer Baugh, Vallejo, Calif., and Robert Baugh, Affton, Mo., three daughters, Mrs. Alex (Cecile) Pavloff, Glen Carbon, Mrs. John (Inez) McKee, Iberia, Mo. And Mrs. John (Bernice) Allen, Glen Carbon, 14 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. One brother, Charles Baugh of Port Salerno, Fla., also survives. Six sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Baugh was a member of Assembly of God Church, Panama. Friends may call at the Lesley Marks Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. today, and at the Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon, Mo. from 2 p.m. Saturday until 2 p.m. Sunday, when services will be held at the funeral home. Rev. Edward Shemwell, pastor of Assembly of God Church, Columbia, will officiate Burial will be in Kenner Cemetery, Dixon, Mo.
