Kingston Man May Have Fractured Hip
Taken to a St. Joseph Hospital Wednesday Afternoon
Bert Bishop, well known resident of Kingston, sustained serious injuries yesterday while working in the timber with his nephew George Bishop.
It is not known exactly how Mr. Bishop was injured, but it is thought he has a hip fractured.
Mr. Bishop was taken to a St. Joseph hospital for examination and treatment.

Bert Bishop Dies in Nursing Home
Bert Bishop, 75, died last night at a nursing home here after a year's illness. Mr. Bishop, former night clerk at the Jesse James hotel, had been a resident of Kingston, Mo., until the last ten years which he spent in St.
Services will be at 2 tomorrow from the Clark Chapel at Kingston. The Rev. Arthur L. Huff, pastor of the Polo, Mo., Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in the Kingston cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Lillie Esteb, and a brother Chester Bishop, both of Kingston, and a niece, Miss Helen Bishop of St. Joseph. The body is at the Clark mortuary, Kingston.

Albert and Edith Bishop had no children. They operated a hotel in Kingston, Missouri across the street east of the Court House. They sold the hotel in the early 30's and moved to St. Joseph, Missouri.

Bert Bishop dies in St. Joseph nursing home being ill the past several months. Mr. Bishop was a former resident of Kingston, being night clerk at the Jesse James Hotel for several years. He moved to St. Joseph approximately ten years ago.
The body was brought to the Clark Funeral Home Tuesday morning and the funeral service was held at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock by Rev. Arthur L. Huff of Polo. Burial was in the Kingston cemetery.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lillie Esteb; one brother, Chester Bishop, a sister-on-law, Mrs. Lela Heiser, all of Kingston, and several neices and nephews. Nieces from this community are Mrs. Forrest Hill, Miss Helen Bishop of St. Joseph. Nephews are Berl Bishop, Polo and Harold and Mont Esteb.
