David was of the Christian faith and was a member of Kimberling City Church of Christ. He was a former elder of Church of Christ in Farmington, New Mexico. He was also a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and rotary club. David was a retired banker coming from Sweetwater, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Cynthia A. Cotton and his parents.
Survivors include: wife, Mary K. (Walker) Cotton of Reeds Spring, Missouri; two sons, Adam and his wife Kaci of Parker, Colorado; Ben and his wife Lindsey of Abilene, Texas; two brothers, Mike Cotton of Lufkin, Texas and Jim Cotton of Colleyville, Texas; one sister, Ann Adams of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2014 in Kimberling City Church of Christ with Mike Brazel officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery, Gallatin, Texas. Local services are held under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City, Missouri.
