Miss Ida Beatty

Mary Ida Beatty, daughter of William and Agnes Beatty, was born on a farm near Keosauqua, Iowa, April 17, 1884, and passed away July 12, 1932, near the place of her birth, at the age of 48 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

Through a long period of sickness which was not to be overcome, she had remained cheerful and very thankful for all words and acts of kindness. One of her last requests was that her relative(e)s and friends be thanked for the happiness of her life.

With her passing she leaves her faithful mother and two brothers, Linn of Mt. Zion and Roy of near Keosauqua, three nieces, Shirley, Eleanor and Winona, two nephews, Harlynn and Warren Beatty, three aunts, Emma, Ella and Maggie Beatty, of Keosauqua, also numerous other relatives and friends.

Her father, one brother Herman and one sister Nellie, having preceded her in death.

She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1902.

After completing the rural school she attended the Keosauqua High School, graduating with the class of 1902. She then taught in the rural schools for several years until health prevented.
--------
We wish to express our thanks for all the kindness and sympathy during the sickness and death of our daughter and sister.

Mrs. William Beatty and Sons.
