Christina was born in Wiesbaum, Germany, the oldest daughter of Heinrich Bernardi and Anna Catharina Klinkhammer Bernardi. Christina and her family emigrated from Wiesbaum to Epiphany, South Dakota in 1880. It was here that she met and married her husband, Paul Bach. Together, they raised four children, Catherine Christine (my grandmother), Gertrude M., William Joseph and Mary A. Bach.
The family moved to Stearns County, Minnesota in August of 1905. According to the 1910 US Census, the family lived in Saint Augusta, Minnesota. According to Christina's death certificate, she died in Munson Township, which is just west of Richmond, Minnesota.
