Solemn funeral Mass was held at St. Mary`s Church Thursday morning at nine o`clock for Mrs Jos. Goblirsch, 71 who passed away at Loretto Hospital in New Ulm Saturday morning. She was a daughter of Simon and Katharina (Herschmann) Mathiowetz.
Burial was made in St Mary`s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ben, Leo, Joseph, Alois, Andrew and Paul Mathiowetz.
Deceased was born August 15, 1870 in Eden Township and May 12,1891,and was married at St Mary`s Church to Joseph Goblirsch, Rev.Father Pax officiating. They lived on a farm south of Sleepy Eye 44 years, moving to Sleepy Eye six years ago.
Eight children were born to this union of whom one son, Otto, died last March.
Beside her husband the following children survive; Peter, Stark; Mrs Frank Hillesheim, Stark; Frank, Albert, George, Mrs George Fischer and Michael all of Albin Township. She also leaves a sister, Mrs Jos. Treml of Clements and three brothers Frank, John and Joseph Mathiowetz all of Eden Township.
