Virginia Follmer, 74, of Green River, Wyoming, formerly of the Oak-Nelson area, passed away March 31, 1988, in a Salt Lake City, Utah, hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born to Henry and Margaret Hatfield Burkett on March 23, 1914, in Oak.
On January 9, 1951, in Superior she was united in marriage to George D. Follmer. They spent their early years in Oak and Nelson. They also lived in Deshler and Superior prior to moving to Wyoming in 1951.
Virginia worked as a clerk and nurse aid in Wyoming. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, George, of Green River, Wyoming and three sisters, Mary Whartman of Grand Island and Emma Merrill and Viola Thurber, both of Hastings.
Funeral mass was held Monday April 4, in Green River, Wyoming with burial in the Riverview Cemetery there.
