Clarence S. Follmer passed away Thursday evening at the State Hospital in Hastings. The funeral will be at the home of his mother, Mrs. Eva M. Follmer at Oak, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, with burial in the Nelson cemetery (sic).

Clarence Samuel Follmer was born in Nelson, Nebraska, January 9, 1875, and died October 30, 1936. He was the eldest son of G.D. and Eva M. Follmer.

Clarence was the first boy born in Nelson, and spent his boyhood in Nelson and Oak. He attended the University of Nebraska and graduated from the Wisconsin State Agriculture College at Madison in 1898.

He was a member of the Christian church (sic) and Tyrian Lodge No. 243 A.F. & A.M., Oak, Nebraska.

March 6, 1898, he was married to Grace Belle Ewing at Westfield, Illinois. To this union five children were born. The oldest daughter, Mrs. Eva H. Mohler, is deceased. He is survived by his wife and four children: two daughters Mrs. Jeannette Kyker and Dorthea of Lincoln, and two sons, Lloyd Dallas of Honolulu, and Bryce X. of Lincoln; his mother, Mrs. Eva M. Follmer of Oak; two sisters, Katherine of Lincoln, Mrs. Fern Lowery of Davenport, and three brothers, Harry of Lincoln, Eugene and Ralph of Oak; and eight grandchildren.

The funeral services were conducted at the home of his mother, north of Oak, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, with the Rev. W.J. Etherton pastor of the Christian church (sic) at Angus, officiating. The remains were then taken to Nelson for internment.


We desire to express our sincere appreciation for the many acts of consideration and kindness bestowed upon us at the time of the passing of our dear one. Mrs. Clarence Follmer, Lloyd Follmer, Bryce Follmer and family, Mrs. Jeanette Kyker and family, Dorothea Follmer, Mrs. G.D. Follmer and children.
