Mr. Cooper was born Feb. 12, 1918, on a farm near Geary, Okla. He moved to Klamath Falls about 1935 and was a machinist apprentice for Great Northern Railroad. In 1946, he moved to Portland, where he was a machinist for Reynolds Metals for 25 years before his retirement in 1980. In 1940, he married Fay Bellant.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Larry L. and Alan R.; brothers, Cecil and Bill; sisters, Bernice Wlliams, Iline Coper, Frankie Ross, Mazelle Foster and Fay Cooper; six
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
