ROANOKE -- Ms. Julia Adamson, 68, of Roanoke died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Funeral services are planned for Saturday, Sept. 22 at Canaan Baptist Church in Roanoke (Welch) with the Revs. Marion McDaniel, pastor, Joe Cofield, Calvin Trammell and L.B. Houston and Bishop Lathonia Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Ms. Adamson is survived by three sons, Weslyon (Gertrude) Adamson Sr. of Roanoke, Victor Adamson of Fontana, Calif. and Sasser (Casey) Adamson of Roanoke; one daughter, Gwyn Adamson Weaver of Roanoke; two brothers, Raymond Morgan of Atlanta and Thomas Morgan of Five Points; one sister, Rosa Ferguson of Moreno Valley, Calif.; eight grandsons, Tanner Adamson, Quory Adamson, Tyon Adamson, Mario Adamson, Wesley Adamson Jr., Terrance Adamson, Kevin Adamson and Tymarion Florence; four granddaughters, TaMekia Adamson, Brittney Vines, Asia Adamson and TaKira Adamson; four sisters-in-law, Betty Ann Jones, Mary Morgan, Naomi Bell and Janie Adamson; a brother-in-law, Raymond Adamson Jr.; a special granddaughter, Toni Wright; and a special grandson, Terrance Milton.
Ms. Adamson was preceded in death by her sister, Ramona Drake, and five brothers, Neaslea Morgan, Colonel Morgan, Earnest Morgan Jr., Daniel Morgan and George Morgan. Public viewing hours will be observed at Clark Memorial Funeral Service in Roanoke Friday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
