I believe she was born in Arkansas and died either in Oregon (with her body returned to Arkansas for burial) or here in Arkansas. I do know, from information given to me by another relative, that Frances was a patient at a TB hospital in Salem, Oregon. She did die of TB at age 27 years.
Frances married Zolan Bramhall (my cousin) on the 7th of April 1945 in Washington state. I'm not certain how they met though. By 1945, Zolan and his first wife had divorced (in Oregon) and he most likely returned there after serving in the Navy during the war. Perhaps he had known Frances prior to his first marriage. This is only a guess though.
There are a few other "Brooks people" buried here at Blue Springs Cemetery which I believe are all related to Frances, including Robert G. Brooks & Minnie I. Brooks. I think, from related research found on a census record, that these are her parents.
Zolan and his 3rd wife, Faye Dolan Bramhall, are buried at City Cemetery, Stockton, Cedar Co, MO.
*** New information received 5 Feb 2014 confirms that Robert G. Brooks & Minnie I. Magness Brooks are the parents of Frances. Information also confirms that Frances died here in Arkansas.
Robert (Bobbie) G. Brooks Jr. (a brother to Frances), is also buried here at Blue Springs Cemetery and his memorial is #20614916.
*** New information 3 May 2016 finds that Frances' father was married twice. His first wife was Alpha Poston (1878-1912) and that 2 children were born from this union: Doris in 1901 and Darwin in 1906. These 2 are therefore half siblings of Frances and her brother Bobbie.
