Mrs. Joseph A. Cobb Dead After Long Illness
Passed Away At Early Hour On Tuesday
Following a protracted illness of many weeks Mrs. Joseph A. Cobb passed away at 3 o'clock yesterday morning at her home in East Americus. In view of her long confinement and the weight of years, the death of Mrs. Cobb was not unexpected to her family and many friends here.
The deceased had been a resident of Americus during a long period of years and was esteemed among many friends. She is survived alone by her husband, who is critically ill, and whose death at any hour may be expected.
Owing to the precarious condition of Mr. Cobb, who is one of Americus' oldest citizens, it was deemed expedient to have the burial of Mrs. Cobb in the afternoon yesterday. The services were conducted at the residence by Rev. J. W. Stokes of the Presbyterian church.
