PENDLETON - Jean O. Brock, 93, of Pendleton died June 7, 2007, at Willowbrook Terrace in Pendleton. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Pilot Rock Cemetery.
Mrs. Brock was born Dec. 1, 1913, to Arthur and Lena Davis Statzer in The Dalles. After graduating from high school in The Dalles, she met and married Orville Brock on April 30, 1932 in The Dalles. They had one child.
Mrs. Brock trained to became a dental assistant and worked in the field for more than 40 years when she retired at 70. She and her family lived in Pendleton, Portland, Canby, Baker City and then moved to Pilot Rock to be closer to her daughter. Some of her hobbies included gardening and taking care of her roses and flowers.
She enjoyed handcrafts and a lot of her projects were made and sold for donations for the Senior Center in Pilot Rock, where she was a member. Jean also was a member of the Lyons Club. She will be most remembered for her full cookie jar. She loved hunting, fishing and camping with her husband, and her cocker spaniels.
She is survived by daughter Beverly Reeser of Pilot Rock; brothers Arthur Statzer of Portland and Jack Statzer of Seattle; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; two sisters; and grandson David Krosting.
