MILTON-FREEWATER - Roy Lee Dietsch, 44, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at his home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Rd., Walla Walla, Wash.
Dietsch was born Feb. 25, 1966, in LaHarpe, Ill., to Marvin and Martha Sanders Dietsch. He
attended Milton-Freewater schools. On April 21, 2001, he and DeAnna Ashton married in Las Vegas, Nev.
He worked for Hudson Bay District Improvement as a general maintenance engineer. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Dietsch is survived by his wife at home; his daughter, Alyssa Ann Ashton of Weston; his sons: Michael P. Ashton of Milton-Freewater and Alex P. Ashton of Walla Walla; his father, Marvin Dietsch of Milton-Freewater; his sister, Kelly Humbert, also of Milton-Freewater; his brother, Tony Carey of Newber; two grandchildren and 17 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
