Delia Sean Adams, a woman whose poise and passion made her a treasure to all, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011.
Though she never reached any twilight years, Delia's legacy of lifelong service to others and immense contributions to the world through voice and song will remain unmatched to those who knew her.
Born Sept. 26, 1954, and raised in Idaho Falls, Delia graduated from Skyline High School. Delia was a pioneer of contemporary LDS (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) music, and made an indelible imprint upon the spiritual lives of thousands of youth and adults. She was also a gifted seamstress whose creations were highly sought after for everything, from daily incidentals to large-scale productions.
Delia was a fierce and loyal friend. She had a habit of demonstrating charity and compassion that fostered deep and meaningful bonds with so many people surrounding her. She championed the calling of "Mother" to not only her own three children, but for dozens of bewildered young folk struggling to find their path to happiness. Delia was extraordinarily insightful and could always be depended on to share your joy, wipe your tears or offer sage advice.
Our warrior, Delia, fought bravely for the past few years against the negative effects of various surgeries and immune deficiency. Her most recent battle with liver cirrhosis enabled her honorable retreat.
Nothing in life was more important to Delia than her family. No professional accomplishment, tangible possession or personal achievement ever competed with Delia's pride for her children and grandchildren. Her life is celebrated by her posterity, Noah (Nicole) Siple, Aubrey (David) Siple-Robb and Jordan Siple. She is also survived by her mother, Derrilie Adams-Cottrell; brother, Greg Adams; sister, Cindy Adams; as well as grandchildren, Emma and Seth Siple and Landon and Samantha Robb.
Interment of Delia's urn will be at Lewisville Cemetery in Lewisville, Idaho, alongside her beloved grandmother, Faye Flynn, later this summer.
