HOCKING- At 7023 Victoria avenue, Riverside, Calif., July 5, 1930, Mrs. Josephine Delphia Hocking, aged 37 years, beloved wife of John R. Hocking and mother of Cornelia, John and Kenneth Hocking, all of 7023 Victoria avenue, Riverside; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Morris, of Harrisonville, Missouri; sister of Roy, Edward and Olney Morris and Mrs. Margaret Emerson, all of Harrisonville, Missouri, and Mrs. L. B. Moore, of Topeka, Kansas. The funeral services were conducted in the chapel of Acheson and Graham, Inc., Fourth and Main streets on Monday, July 7th, at 2 p.m., Dr. Samuel Hughes officiating. Interment was in Olivewood cemetery.

MRS. JOHN HOCKING 1892-1930
Mrs. John Hocking, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Morris, was born August 5, 1892, near Pleasant Hill, Mo., and died at the family home in Riverside, Calif., Saturday, July 5, 1930. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery the following Monday, July 7, at 2:30 o'clock.
Miss Josephine Morris was reared to young womanhood in the community of her birth and was married to John Hocking in Harrisonville, after which the young couple moved to a farm near Shattuck, Okla., and some time later moved to Texas. For the past two years the family has been living in Riverside, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Hocking became the parents of three children, who, with her husband, survive: Miss. Cornelia Hocking, Johnnie Morris Hocking, and Kenneth Hocking. These brothers and sisters also survive: Roy Morris of Peculiar, Mo., Edwin and Olney Morris of Harrisonville, Mo.; Mrs. L. B. Moore of Topeka, Kans., and Mrs. Claude Emerson of Harrisonville.
