INA MAE FLUITT GILLISPIE WAYLAND was born in a two room house on section 33 of Ochiltree Co., TX. She was the fourth and last child of Lena Pearl Hocking and Rolin Virgil Fluitt. (The Fluitt's first child, Dale Virgil Fluitt, was born Oct. 27, 1920 and died of pneumonia on Jan. 6, 1921.) Ina Mae attended school in Huntoon with her brother, Wayne Harrison Fluitt (Jan. 17, 1922 to Oct. 17, 2012), and sister, Aleene Virginia Fluitt. She graduated from high school in Perryton, TX in 1945. Ina Mae married Benjamin Franklin Gillispie on Dec. 26, 1948 in Stinnett, Hutchinson Co., TX. This union was blessed with four children, Ray, Frank, Ben Earl and Sylvia Mae. Ben and Ina Mae lived in Spearman, TX before moving to a ranch in Harmon, OK where they raised their family. They later moved to Arnett, OK. Ina Mae enjoyed quilting, Bible study, cooking for her church and spending time with her family. Ben passed away Dec.18, 1989. Ina Mae married Harold Wayland on April 7, 1995 in Arnett, OK. After several years of marriage, the needs of the couple changed. Harold moved to the Shattuck Nursing Center and Ina Mae to the Vici Nursing Home where she passed away.
