Delores was born in Meadville, PA on September 15, 1925 to the late Joseph P. and Bernice (Kinney) Damico.
She was married to Edward J. Bednar, Sr. in 1946 until his untimely death in 1952.
She then married Samuel W. Aubel on October 31, 1954 and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1998.
Delores is survived by: three sons - Edward J. Bednar and his wife Janet of Sharpsville, Martin P. Aubel of Greenville, and Mark A. Aubel and his wife Doreen of Greenville; three daughters - Kathleen Anderson and her husband James of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Theresa A. Swank and her husband James of Greenville, and Susan Weaver and her husband Ralph of Transfer; six sisters - Josephine Karas of Hermitage, Madeline Gisewhite and her husband Earl of Cortland, OH, Dorothy Mauk of Meadville, Margaret Jindra and her husband Duane of Meadville, Rose Burchard and her husband James of Guys Mills, PA, and Joyce Moffit and her husband Patrick of Meadville; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by: her son - Stephen Andrew Bednar who died in Vietnam, in 1971, while serving with the 101st Airborne; a brother - Edgar Damico; and two sisters - Donna Hyde and Mary Grace Hurlbert.
She worked as a nurse's aide, starting at White Cliff Nursing Home, and eventually retired from St. Paul's, both in Greenville.
She enjoyed crocheting, watching birds from her window, going for long rides, and especially spending quality time with her family and friends.
She was big fan of the Greenville Trojans, and looked forward to listening to the football games on the radio every Friday night. She also enjoyed watching NFL games on Sundays.
She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Greenville where she was also a member of the Young at Heart. She was a social member of the New Castle Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and enjoyed their monthly dinner meetings.
Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, at noon on Saturday, with Monsignor Andrew H. Karg as celebrant.
Burial with committal service will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
