He married Elizabeth Renaker on April 7, 1869 in Henry County, Kentucky. She passed away in April of 1870 and their child died in July of 1870. (It is unclear if Renaker was her maiden name, or a surname from a previous marriage).
Andrew married Margaret, the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Coyle Allen. The couple were the parents of Laura, Ada Victoria, Bertie and Corinne Bloom. Mr. Bloom, initially, supported his family by working as a liquor dealer. Later, he worked as a notary public and as a pension agent.
