Chester Arthur Lippincott was born to W. C. Lippincott and his wife Mattie J (maiden name unknown) on Jan 31, 1876. The 1880 census for Tuckerton, NJ shows he had three older siblings, Joseph E., Sabra R. and Emma V. and a younger brother, F Paul Lippincott. By the time of the 1900 census, Chester had been married for 2 years to Ann E Bishop. She was born in Oct of 1880, the daughter of Susan L Bishop. No children were listed with them in the 1910 census for Middletown, Monmouth Co., NJ. His occupation is given as a “Life Saver”. In the 1920 census for Islip, Suffolk Co, NY he is a Coast Guard Superintendent and in the 1930 census for Portland, Ore, he is a District Commander for the Coast Guard. He is listed as “married” but a wife's name is not listed. In the 1940 census for Portland, Oregon his spouse is Rounee B Lippincott – age 60 - born in Michigan. Chester passed away on November 21, 1960 and his mortal remains rest in the beautiful National Cemetery at Pt Loma, California. It indicates he was a veteran of the Spanish American War and of World War I.
