Pearl E. Booher, 86, of Springfield has died at a local care center of age-related causes.
Born in Cheboygan, Mich., to Wilbur and Lottie Taylor, she was married to Archie L. Booher; he preceded her in death.
She grew up and received her education in Milwaukie, graduating from Milwaukie High School in 1929 and later attended Northwest Christian College.
She had been a resident of the Springfield and Eugene area for 16 years and had attended Grace Community Fellowship, the First Christian Church in Eugene and Twin Rivers Baptist Church in Springfield.
A homemaker, she enjoyed her time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters: Ruth Foss (and her husband Allan) and Bea Landis (and her husband Harry) of Kirkland, Wash.; two stepsons: Sam Booher of Springfield and Jim Booher of Roseburg; a stepdaughter: June Griggs of Coquille; a brother: Floyd Taylor (and his wife Irene) of Auburn, Wash.; as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, at Peake Memorial Chapel in Milwaukie, with internment in the G.A.R. Cemetery in Portland.
The casket will be open for visitation from 1-3 p.m., today, at Major-Fredericksen Funeral Home in Springfield.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimers Association.
Major-Fredericksen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
