Ida A. Bird
OLEAN - Ida A. Bird of Olean, formerly of Gile Hollow Road, Hinsdale, died Friday (Nov. 28, 2008) in the Absolut of Salamanca.
Born Aug. 1, 1909 in South Kersey, Pa., she was a daughter of Louis and Catherine Hoffer Antonioli. She was married to Charles W. Bird Sr., who predeceased her April 25, 1991.
Mrs. Bird had served during World War II as an Army Air Force Nurse. She later worked for St. Elizabeth Motherhouse in Allegany and did private duty nursing.
Surviving are a daughter, Julia L. (James R.) Warnow of Allegany; a son, Charles W. Bird Jr. of Port Allegany, Pa.; four grandsons, Scott R. Warnow, Jason Bird, Greg Bird and Andy Bird; a sister, Ellen DeSio of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Kellogg and Ethel Brown, both of Allegany and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Pisini, Catherine Luchini and Jenny Antonioli; and two brothers, John Antonioli and Samuel Antonioli.
Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
