He was the son of Andrew Anderson and Elizabeth Dahl. He married Cora Violet Stephens at Portland, Oregon, on August 8, 1942.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Peake Memorial Chapel for Frederick Stanley Anderson who died at his Milwaukie home Thursday. He was 89. Mr. Anderson was born in Highlands, Colo., and moved to Portland in 1955 from Seattle, where he lived many years. He lived at 13021 SE River Road. He was a machinist for the Union Pacific Railroad 49 years before his retirement in 1953. Survivors include his wife Cora; four daughters, Lee Amey, Tigard; Alice Griffith, Seattle; Mildred Johnston, Bremerton, and Margaret Hagaman, Portland; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Vault entombment will be in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.
