Died in Vancouver on Wed., Nov.10, 1915, James Drysdale Allan, age 87y. 6m.; funeral on Mon., 15, to Neepawa cemetery. One of the 1st settlers in the district, on the farm till children became adults then retired to Neepawa. Moved to Vancouver 2 years ago; predeceased by wife. Survived by son, James, locomotive inspector for CNR & 5 daughters, Mrs.Gossell of Neepawa, Mrs(Dr.)Shattner of Boissevain, Mrs.Allan of Winnipeg, Mrs Alex Hunter of Vancouver & Mrs.Joseph Hamilton of Vancouver. Another daughter, Mrs.Robert Coulter, died last year at Vancouver. Faithful member of the Masonic Order, funeral by fellow lodge members at Knox United Church where he'd been a regular attendant for many years.
