Captain Abram Isaac Conover, son of Isaac Covenhoven and Ruth Frisbie lived his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was a successful farmer and prominent member of the community. He was captain of the militia company. He married Mary Horton in Chenengo County, New York June 11, 1840. The father of nine children: Cornelius Conover(1841-1916), Martha Ann Conover Ingersoll Frank(1843-1904), James Henry Conover(1846-1921), Rachel L. Conover Serviss(1848-1932), Isaac Conover(1851-1930), Alvira Conover Grandy(1854-1929), Charles J.M. Conover(1858-1863), Francis Veddar Conover(1859-1920), Avis Amelia Conover(1865-1946).
