Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Adams, 88, of Lampasas were conducted at 10:00 a.m. today (Monday) in Oak Hill Cemetery with Minister Reid Schaub officiating.
Mrs. Adams died Friday in Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
Born Sept. 18, 1901, in Lampasas County (in the School Creek Community)to the late J.O. and Hattie Lancaster Mace. Mrs. Adams resided in Lampasas all of her life until 1989, when she moved to Dallas.
She was married to M.P. (Jack) Adams, who was the Lampasas post master from 1934 to 1968.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lampasas. She was also an active member the Wednesday Study Club and the Pierian Club.
Survivors include a son, John M. Adams of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Marcia Trammell of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Verna Jones of Lampasas; three granddaughters, three great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Directors had charge of arrangements.
