Tyler S. Alfred, 25, of Laurel, passed away Monday afternoon, April 6, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family, following a more than four year battle with leukemia.

He was born July 14, 1989 at Batesville, IN, one of two sons of Scott and Kim Johnson Alfred.

He was a 2009 graduate of Franklin County High School. Also, he attended the Connersville Area Vocational School where he studied welding.

He had been employed at GECOM in Greensburg. In his leisure, he loved to hunt and to ride dirt bikes and quadrunners. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his dogs.

Survivors besides his parents include maternal grandparents, Danna Johnson of Laurel, Bill and Terri Johnson of Connersville; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Bonnie Alfred of Laurel; a great grandmother, Elizabeth Corbin of Connersville; a brother, Austin Alfred of Laurel; several aunts and uncles, which includes, William Johnson, Melissa "Lis" Allen, Melissa Ison, Lisa (Ryan) French and Christina Alfred; and a number of cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Rob Edwards at 11 AM Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 until 8 PM on Friday. Burial will be in Laurel North Cemetery.
