C. Preston Bageant, 80, of R, 2, Warfordsburg, died Monday, July 19, 1982, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born in Whitacre, Va., he was the son of Homer T. and Laura E. Sirbaugh Bageant.
He was self-employed as a radio technician in Washington D. C.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Potter Bageant; step-mother, Sally Meely of Berkeley Springs, W. Va.; one son, George H. Bageant of Warfordsburg; one sister, Stella Riner of Martinsburg, W. Va.; one half-sister, Virginia Good of Detroit, Mich.; and nine grand children and six great-grandchildren.
Service were held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 22, at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. David Hoover officiating. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Grove Funeral Home in Hancock.
