Mrs. Elizabeth Hoerner, 81, died yesterday at her home in St. Charles township. Death was caused by complications and followed and illness of one month. Services will be held at the Lutheran Church at Chesaning at 2 p.m. on Sunday with the Rev. Hans Schultz officiating. The body will rest at the Walker Funeral and will lie in state at the church one hour before services. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery, St. Charles.
Mrs. Hoerner, who had lived in her present home for the past 52 years, was born in Germany on December 23, 1868, the daughter of Louis and Wilhelmina Brockman. She came to the United States at the age of six and married Fred Hoerner on November 18, 1887. She was a member of the Chesaning Lutheran Church.
Surviving are: two sons, Paul and Martin, of St. Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Zinc (Zink), of St. Charles; two brothers, Fred of Brant and Martin of Detroit, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
