Birth: 1820
South Carolina, USA
Death: 1892
South Carolina, USA

Ebijah Alexander was a son of Rev. Abner M. Alexander and wife Massey Belk Alexander of old Sumter District in South Carolina. He married Lydia Mixon Fields, also of the old Sumter District, whose parents were John Fields and Elizabeth Mixon Fields. As far as Find-A-Grave is concerned, we can't connect to his parents because know one seems to know where they're buried.

One guess is Bethlehem Cemetery outside of Bishopville, although there is no listing in cemetery surveys. Abner attended the original Bethlehem church that was once located at the cemetery property. Another suggestion as to his burial site is St. Matthew United Methodist Church, where son Ebijah was buried. There are a few unmarked matching brick-covered graves around Ebijah's grave.

Both Abijah and sister Mary Ann Myriam Alexander Holland, buried at Salem Church in rural Bishopville have deaths dates of 1820 on their grave markers, suggesting they were twins.

Father Abner's parents, Ebijah's grandparents, were John and Mary Woodham Alexander of what is now Bishopville. They lived in the old Sumter District, and lived near Captain Peter DuBose's family at Lynches River at U.S. Highway 15, yet on the opposite side of the river. John Alexander's mother was a widow, Frances Alexander, who died in 1820.

The issue of Ebijah and Lydia Alexander were:

- Massey Ann Alexander
- John Edward Alexander "Edward"
- Wilson Warren Alexander "Warren"
- Elizabeth H. Alexander
- Abner J.M. Alexander
- Eliza J.M. Alexander
- Lydia A. Alexander
- Charles Baron Spencer Alexander "Baron"
- Mary Kevin (an infant)
