Mrs. Lula Mae Luttrell Groves, age 76, of Route 1, Forrest City, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Forrest Memorial Hospital. She had been in poor health for the last two and a half years and was in the hospital for one day when she passed away.
Mrs. Groves was born April 11, 1897 in Potts Camp, MS and was the daughter of Sissie Hickman McDaniel and Walter McDaniel. She had made her home in Forrest City, AR for the last 60 years.
Mrs. Groves was housewife and a Baptist.
She was married to Mr. Steve Groves in 1966. He proceeded her in 1973 She leaves one son, J C Luttrell of Forrest City, AR, one daughter Mrs. W. W. Baugh of Little Rock, AR. One brother of Forrest City, AR Mose McDaniel, two sisters, Mrs. Bealuh Cupples and Mrs. Tom Johnson of Little Rock, AR. She also leaves one stepson, Bill Simon Luttrell of El Segundo, CA. And three stepdaughters, Mrs. Irene Gray of Forrest City, AR, Mrs. Cassie Ramey of Little Rock, AR, and Mrs. Jackie Gardner of Colt, AR> Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Groves will be held at Stevens Funeral Home 2:00 PM Friday, February 1, 1974, with Rev Cowan in charge of services. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
